As much as we advise against it, it is physically possible to use a type of Belfast sink with a laminate worktop. There is something called a lipped Belfast sink, that allows you to, for want of a better word, fudge it into place and make this a possibility. Now, the overall look is not too bad but, the sink is actually raised above the worktop.. We’re probably going to get the kitchen from Wickes. The Wikes kitchen designer came out and said the only worktop we could have with a belfast sink is either solid marble (very expensive) or solid wood (lots of maintenance and will mark). So it looks like we’ll have to go for a laminate worktop.
